Design Counsel is currently being rebuilt to better reflect the way I work: strategic thinking, content architecture, digital problem solving and websites that do far more than just look good.

People often ask where the name came from.

The answer is simple.

I've never seen myself as just a web designer.

For more than two decades I've worked across digital strategy, content, marketing, user experience, search, systems, social media and business operations. Along the way, I've learnt that most challenges aren't solved by a website alone.

Sometimes the answer is a better website.

Sometimes it's a better process.

Sometimes it's a smarter content stragegy.

Sometimes it's identifying an opportunity nobody else has spotted yet.

The word Counsel reflects the way I work.

I ask questions. I look for patterns. I challenge assumptions. I connect dots that don't always seem connected. I look for practical ways to make things simpler, more effective and easier to manage.

Technology changes. Search changes. Businesses change.

What excites me is helping people navigate those changes and uncover opportunities along the way.

Sometimes that leads to a website project. Sometimes it leads somewhere completely different.

Either way, the goal remains the same:

Helping good people make smarter decisions and build better digital experiences.
